205: Family Learning Experience

24 07 2010

For the past few weeks a classmate and I have been visiting, interviewing and observing a family as a requirement for one of our classes. We had to log in at least 10 hours with a specific underprivileged family. The family we chose lived near UP so we’d go there and stay for 2 hours twice a week after classes. Today was kinda special because it was our last 2-hour visit so we brought some pizza and softdrinks as a little thank-you to our family for allowing us to disturb their daily routine. Even if we only spent a little time with them, they were very accommodating and told us a lot of stories about their lives, as if we were old family friends.

The Team Manila-designed Greenwich pizza boxes didn’t impress my partner. LOL. I generally like Team Manila, but I admit this isn’t spectacular. Nevertheless, I like the idea that graphic design is being invested on and is being brought to a wider audience, where it should be.
