108: Perfect Marriage

18 04 2010

The bentwood mirror and marble console top is an heirloom from my mother’s mother. We recently acquired it from an aunt who was getting rid of stuff stocked up for ages in her apartment. It had bentwood legs, but it’s broken so we still had to repair it. In the meantime, we used the base of a Singer sewing machine from my father’s mother. The sewing machine itself is missing, so we have been using it as a console table on that exact spot. When the mirror arrived, it was love at first sight.

They look perfect together, don’t they?
