054: The Sultan’s Daughter

23 02 2010

We’ve had this bead necklace/headpiece for ages. I don’t even know where my mom got it, but I believe it’s from some Mindanao tribe. I remember moments from my childhood when I’d pretend to be a tribal princess wearing it and parading around the house. I’ve inherited a lot of accessories from my mother and I’ve disassembled most of them to make new ones because most of them are too bulky or simply don’t fit my style nor taste at all. But somehow I don’t have the heart to take this one apart, though I never really use it. Sentimentality wins again.

But, of course, after a serious shot, I couldn’t resist doing something goofy. LOL
